Speaker Biographies

Nancy J. Hopp is the Court Reporter Liaison for CT Summation. She serves as a resource for court reporters on realtime and other reporting-related matters. Prior to joining Summation, Nancy was a court reporter for 25 years and a partner at a Chicago reporting firm. Her reporting experience included assignments as varied as the Space Shuttle Challenger accident investigation and Pope John Paul II's visit to St. Louis.
Nancy is a Registered Diplomate Reporter, a Certified Realtime Reporter, a Certified Manager of Reporting Services, and a Contributing Editor to the National Court Reporters Association's Journal of Court Reporting. She also serves on the State of Illinois Certified Shorthand Reporters Board and numerous state and national reporting association committees.
In her role as a Professional Development Associate at CT Summation, Nancy has presented dozens of seminars to attorneys, paralegals and court reporters on a variety of topics relating to litigation technology, including realtime and marketing. She holds a court reporting degree from MacCormac College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University.

Kate Paslin is a Business Development Manager for CT Summation and member of The State Bar of California. Kate conducts seminars and develops CLE presentation material on the growing impact of electronic information on litigation practices. Her presentations draw on federal statutes, equivalent state codes and emerging case law to clarify the demands of the electronic discovery process and highlight the need for tailored software solutions. She also writes articles for publication which similarly explore the cross-section of law and technology.
In addition to her seminar and publication work, Kate leads the CT Summation effort to prepare tomorrow’s attorneys and legal professionals for the digital environment in litigation today, providing educational materials and software to law, paralegal and technical schools across the United States and Canada.
Prior to joining CT Summation, Kate frequently used litigation software as a practicing attorney in both California and Texas. Her broad litigation background includes maritime and admiralty work, securities litigation, corporate fraud and misrepresentation, anti-trust and environmental-toxic tort litigation. In addition to civil litigation, Kate has volunteered her time to domestic violence and child custody cases, both privately and through an internship with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.
Kate received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and holds a B.A. in Women’s Studies with emphasis in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

Keith Schrodt is a valued member of CT Summation's Business Development Management Team. Keith conducts seminars and customer presentations across North America to help teach legal professionals about CT Summation's award-winning suite of litigation support and eDiscovery solutions.
Prior to joining CT Summation, Keith held VP positions at two Investment Banking Firms were he specialized in M&A transactions and Commercial Real Estate development. Before receiving his JD degree, Keith had 10 years of successful sales experience within the high technology sector with companies such as Nortel, Fujitsu, Alcatel, and several private start-ups. During his tenure, Keith earned industry recognition for his outstanding sales performance with products sales totaling in the hundreds of millions.
Keith, who is a certified Mediator in Texas, donates his time in business and family law matters.
Keith received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Texas, and his J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of law.
